One of the highlights for Director and Programme officer, before and leading to Awuoth Organization  was their active  involvement  in women and youth development interventions and active  mobilization skills towards meaningful engagements.

Project details:

1. African leafy vegetables farm production and Aggregation

This activities constitute our mission. Members contribution, grants from persons in  Belgium and inkind from Kenya crops and dairy market systems (KCDMS) have been the main sources of resources to facilitate the CBO' activities . Since establishment Awuoth  successfully  implemented scaling up productivity of African leafy vegetables working with 500 small holder farmers with support of appropriate knowledge on modern agricultural farm practices,linkage to input suppliers and agronomic practices including soil testing . The African leafy vegetable types produced are; cow peas(kunde),Black night shade(managu),Spider plant(saga)clotoraria and green Amaranth.

Green Amarananth seed production activity that has been a key source of planting materials for the community, source of income for CBO members and had great impact in improving nutrition among families. Through those investments, the Members are currently producing about 8 Tons of African leafy vegetables which translate to Ksh 320,000 annually.

2. Delivery of electric mobility
Focus on the Advocacy on delivery of electric mobility that is affordable, efficient and environmental friendly in rural communities by training women on the different aspects of e-mobility and make money from e-mobility.
